Summer Camps Hosting NBS Kids in 2010
This is a list of summer camps that NBS families have let us know that they are sending their children to this summer. The PTO, NBS, and CUSD 220 make no endorsements by listing a program here. We provide this list as a convenience to families who might want to know about the various programs that NBS families will be participating in this summer.
Event-based Camps
- Clay Monet - The Clay Monet holds several pottery camps for kids all summer.
- Grandmaster Yury Shulman's Chess Camps - Half or full-day week-long chess camp taught at BHS by several grandmasters, run by Barrington resident and 2008 US Champion Yury Shulman. Camps go from K-12. We did one 1-week, 1/2 day program last summer for our son, who was between 1st and second grade. He really enjoyed the chance to expand his game, learn how to play bughouse, etc. and will be going again this summer.
- Grove Avenue School - various classes from 8-10 & 10-12 (or do both times). Cooking, art, digital photography, etc.

- Harper College In Zone Camp for Kids aged 8-14
- YMCA Camp Duncan - A wonderful, outdoor experience for kids. Extended day options included in basic tuition.
- PBI Baseball camps - spring and summer baseball camps
